Halesowen based company, SOMERSTOTALKARE, the UK's number 1 supplier of Heavy Duty Mobile Vehicle lifts won't be exchanging Christmas cards this year, donations will be given to a local charity in Dudley, Rollercoasters.
Rollercoasters caters for over forty children from the Dudley Borough who have multiple disabilities and additional physical and learning disabilities. The charity arranges fun activities for the children to partake in and build friendships.
Tim Jackson, managing director at SOMERSTOTALKARE said, 'Staff at the company felt a donation to a local charity would be much more worthwhile than exchanging Christmas cards this year. We support a number of charities but Rollercoasters really stood out as a small local charity that does a lot of hard work and would see the real benefit of any fundraising activity.'
Joe Bridgewater, team member at Rollercoasters said, 'To run Rollercoasters each year we must raise a lot of money and funding. Our transport costs are extremely high because we have to use specially adapted tail-lift buses. Although we are supported by the Local Authority we have to raise about £35,000 each year from grants and fund-raising activities so any additional support is always appreciated'.
SOMERSTOTALKARE staff will be donating throughout the month of December and the final amount will be tripled and given to Rollercoasters in early January.
